Brewpubs are becoming increasingly popular in U.S. cities, offering delicious cuisine and unique craft beer selections. A great new brewpub just opened a few minutes from The Woodlands at Crest Hill. MyGrain Brewing Co. is the creation of Vince, a former personal trainer, and his friend Gregory, a long-time Illinois business owner.
At MyGrain, the brewers aim to create beers that are intense and flavorful. They have a lot of unique selections, like the Hemlock Caress, a cream ale with floral qualities, and the Railfan Porter, made with dark malts and offering notes of chocolate and coffee. Try one of their 4-beer flights if you’re not sure what you want.
At MyGrain, you can either sit at the bar or grab a table with your friends. The food menu is just as creative as the beer list. There’s a selection of small plates, like the duck poutine made with duck gravy and a sunny-side-up duck egg. Entree selections include grilled octopus, buttermilk fried chicken, and a skirt steak dish made with chocolate stout. There are even a few vegetarian-friendly choices like the sliced heirloom tomato sandwich, made with herbed goat cheese and garlic bread.
MyGrain Brewing Co. is located inside a train station, and the space has a modern industrial vibe. There is a lot of seating and open space, making it a good choice for large groups. Their address is 50 E Jefferson St. in Joliet, IL. Visit soon, and contact us if you’re looking for a new apartment nearby.Back to all posts
