Looking for more summer activities? Don’t fret: things are about to heat up in August with these late summer festivals near The Woodlands of Crest Hill!
Artisan Craft & Food Fair (August 17th)
If you’re in the area, check out Joliet’s Artisan Craft and Food Festival on S. Reed Street. More than 50 local artists will display their amazing works of art on that day. Meanwhile, local food trucks will provide delicious food and beverages to tempt the most discerning of palates.
There will be a craft show from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Festival-goers can also look forward to bag tournaments and scavenger hunts. The event will be held at the Center for Disability Services in Joliet. Admission is free and your purchases will help support your local United Way.
Blues & Brews on 66 (August 17th)
Next, head to downtown Joliet for Blues & Brews on 66 starting at 4:00 p.m. This is a free community event highlighting unique blues artists, such as The HepKats, Funky Mojo Daddy, and Anthony Gomes. Craft beer and local food will be available for purchase during the event.
Participating breweries will include Mad Hatchet Brewing, Will County Brewing Company, Elder Brewing Company, and Tangled Roots Brewing Company. You’ll also enjoy specialty cocktails from Warrior Vodka. So far, festival organizers have confirmed two food trucks for the event: Life’s A Slice and Tacos Maui. As the event date approaches, more food trucks will be added.
All in all, these late summer festivals near The Woodlands of Crest Hill promise plenty of excitement to spice up the rest of the season.
