Joliet Area Historical Museum
The Joliet Area Historical Museum is located at the intersection of Cass and Ottawa Streets in downtown Joliet. It opened its doors in the fall of 2002 and has served as a portal into Joliet’s past ever since.
This quaint local museum also hosts a wide variety of events and concerts throughout the year. So, be on the lookout for new events every quarter. Specifically, the museum’s mission is to promote awareness and appreciation for Joliet’s diverse history.
’70’s Heroes of Rock! (January 25th)
This event is, undoubtedly, one that many music fans will enjoy. If you’re a fan of ’70s music, this one’s for you. Listen to Skip Griparis combine comedic stories with mesmerizing vocal impressions of Elton John, Billy Joel, Steely Dan, Paul Simon, and Chicago. You won’t remember the last time you had so much fun! Remember that doors open at 6:45 p.m. in the museum’s auditorium, and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Get your tickets soon!
The Blues According to John Primer (February 7th)
Fans of the blues won’t want to miss John Primer in this electric performance at the museum’s auditorium. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m., and the show will start at 7:00 p.m. Primer, a Chicago blues legend, has performed with the likes of Johnny Winter, Buddy Guy, and Derek Trucks. His many Lifetime Achievement Awards highlight his monumental contributions to the music genre in America. Don’t miss this highly anticipated show if you’re a fan of this blues giant!
