Enjoy Raft and Tube Rides at Raging Waves

As the weather warms up, get ready for the 2020 swim season at Raging Waves, Illinois’ largest water park. The best part is that Raging Waves is less than an hour’s drive from our apartments at The Woodlands of Crest Hill. Here’s everything you need to know to keep cool and have a great time.

*We understand now is not the best time to leave your home. However, we want to continue to highlight businesses in the area as something to look forward to. At this time, you can support local establishments by purchasing gift cards or season passes.

Location and Hours

The address for Raging Waves is 4000 N. Bridge Street in Yorkville. When the season starts, the park will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. In July, the park will stay open an hour later. There will be shorter hours in August and a few open swim days in September.

Admission and Parking Fees

One-day admission for guests over 42″ tall is $34.99. Meanwhile, guests shorter than 42″ or over 60 years old will pay $19.99. Note that children under two years old can swim for free. There is a $5 charge for standard parking. You can also rent an individual locker for $12 or a larger one for $15.

If you love water parks, you will want to purchase a season pass. For less than $100, you can visit the water park as many times as you want all season long and get free parking as well. There are a few other perks such as free ice cream, discounts in the gift shop, and bring-a-friend tickets for only $24.99.

Rides

There’s something for everyone at Raging Waves! Everyone loves the lazy river and the 25,000-square-foot wave pool. Water slides range from tame to the super-thrilling “PJ’s Plummet.” New in 2020 is the Aussie Mat Dash, where you’ll lie on a mat and race headfirst down the slide against others.

Food

There are several dining options here, including restaurants that serve chicken tenders, pizza, burgers, and hot dogs. You can also enjoy sandwiches, salads, walking tacos, and sweet treats.

That said, diners can’t bring in takeout orders from elsewhere. Keep in mind that you can leave and return at any time if you have a ticket or all-season pass. You are, however, allowed to bring in sealed bottled water.

Of course, if you’d rather stay home, you’ll have access to a swimming pool, sand volleyball court, and grilling area on our apartment grounds, as well as proximity to area nature trails. Still, it’s nice to have access to a water park that’s only a short drive away. If you’d like to take a look at our fantastic floor plans and check out our amenities, contact us. We think you’ll love it here!
