Running is a great way to boost confidence and improve sleep quality, among many other health benefits. If you would like to make your workouts more fun, compete in one of these Crest Hill-area virtual races. Go online from the comfort of our Crest Hill apartments and check out these options.

1. I Have a Dream

The I Have a Dream virtual race welcomes both walkers and runners. You can walk/run on a treadmill or take your favorite trail. Be sure to track your time and submit your results for the virtual leaderboard. Don’t forget to print your finishing certificate, and your commemorative shirt will arrive in the mail. Registration ends on March 7th, and you can compete in the 5K, 10K, or half-marathon.

2. Leprechaun Lane Chicago

This year, Leprechaun Lane is going virtual. Enjoy some St. Patrick’s Day fun along your favorite trail. The race offers a great way to get moving. As you run the 5K or 10K, time your results for the leaderboard. This fun run takes place from March 17th through the 31st. You can register until the final day, and runners receive shirts, custom medals, and online results.

3. Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle

A Chicago tradition for forty years, the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle is offering virtual fun in 2021. Events include the mile, the two-mile walk, and the 8K. Walk or run on a treadmill or through the neighborhood, and compete against yourself to improve your time. You can also make a difference as you move. Every year, the Shamrock Shuffle partners with charitable organizations like Autism Speaks, Chicago Commons, and CASA of Lake County. Race weekend begins on March 19th.
