Have Fun at 4th of July Celebrations in Will County, Illinois

4th of July Independence Day celebrations in Will County.

Independence Day is on its way and several nearby towns will be holding events that include food, music, and fireworks! If you’re looking to fill up your calendar for the 4th, consider these 4th of July celebrations in Will County, all within 30 minutes of The Woodlands of Crest Hill.

Joliet Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks (July 3rd)

Located less than 10 minutes from our community is the small town of Joliet, which will hold an Independence Celebration & Fireworks Show on July 3rd. Head over to the Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park and Theatre; the event will begin at 6:00 p.m. Hang out and enjoy food, drinks, and live music until the fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. 

Plainfield Patriotic Picnic (July 3rd)

Head north to Plainfield Central High School for the Patriotic Picnic & Fireworks at 6:00 p.m. There’ll be plenty of fun activities, including a bike parade, dance performance, and a Retiring of Colors by the Plainfield American Legion.

Guests can also write letters to deployed soldiers during the event. Everyone is encouraged to bring coolers, chairs, and blankets for the fireworks display at dusk.  

Lockport Summer Fireworks Show (July 3rd)

Also taking place on the same day is the Lockport Summer Fireworks Show. Head to Dellwood Park, a mere 10 minutes away from The Woodlands of Crest Hill. The event will last from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

New Lenox Independence Day Celebration (July 4th)

The quaint town of New Lenox, located less than 20 minutes from Crest Hill, will begin celebrations at 6:00 p.m. on July 4th at the New Lenox Village Commons.

Admission to the event is free and open to the public. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase, courtesy of the New Lenox Community Park District. Meanwhile, live music will be provided by the rock cover band Epic. The fireworks display will begin at dusk. 

All in all, these 4th of July celebrations in Will County promise plenty of fun for everyone.
